In order to examine the mechanical properties of silicone breast implants, these are first subjected to a pressure load and then the tear resistance of the hull material is determined in the tensile test. The graphical representation of the measured stress values is done with the help of contour diagrams. In this, the different colors represent the stress distribution via the implant surface.
