Welcome to the Homepage of the – Institute of Polymer materials

The institute under the direction of Prof. Dr. rer. nat. habil. Dirk W. Schubert with the group of Polymer Physics and Processing (PPaP) is working on the field of fiber-spinning for different applications.

The chair is working in the field of innovative developments for polymer materials

The team of OMD group (Organic Materials and Devices) under the direction of Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Marcus Halik belongs also to the LSP.

The research of the OMD Group focuses on new innovative organic and hybrid materials for electronic and optoelectronic device applications in transistors, non-volatile memories, solar cells, sensors and capacitors. The research follows an interdisciplinary approach based on the understanding of chemical compounds at the molecular level (chemistry), on their properties in formulations and after deposition, on the construction of functional devices (physics, engineering and processing) and finally on the understanding of electrical characterization of equipment (electrical engineering).

Prof. Dr. rer. nat. habil. Dirk W. Schubert is one of the keylab scientists of the Bavarian Institute of Polymers (BPI).

The labroatories of the BPI are situated in Fürth.

If you have questions belonging the activities of the BPI please contact: M.Sc. Stefan Schrüfer
